Playhouses for Raffle! - Now through May 19th
The Women Build volunteers used their construction training skills while building four playhouses on Saturday, April 26th in the Lowe’s parking lot in Frederick. These playhouses are now being raffled off as our ongoing fundraising efforts.   You can view a photograph of the playhouses HERE.  We have something for everyone... a pink/purple/white one for girls, a camo one for boys, and two more traditional ones.   The raffle tickets are $5 each or 4 for $15 and can be purchased at Lowe’s off of Buckeystown Pike.   

The winner will be announched on May 19th, and there is no need to be present. Each winner will be responsible for pick-up/delivery of their playhouse.   You can view our flyer for details.

National Women Build Week Event - Saturday, May 10, 2008
Our Women Build committee members and volunteers will be working on a women-only build day at our St. Joseph’s Lane project in Emmitsburg on May 10th.  We are very excited to take part in celebrating the National Women Build Week.  Please read more about this event HERE.

Ladies Spring Golf Classic Tournament - May 22nd (at Musket Ridge Golf Club, Myersville, MD)

CALLING ALL LADY ARTISTS! - We are holding an art contest as part of this fundraiser.   We are asking local female artisans (professional, amateurs and dreamers) to create centerpieces that will be used at the tournament dinner, as well as raffled off or giving as door prizes. Each centerpiece must include an item from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.  Please CLICK HERE for the flyer that includes all of the details.

Cookbook Fundraiser
We have collected over 175 well-loved recipes.   Thank you very much to everyone who contributed.  The cookbooks are now available for purchase.  They are $15.00 each and would make EXCELLENT gifts.  You can stop by our ReStore facility at 1109 East Patrick Street in Frederick (301-662-2988), attend one of our upcoming events where we’ll be selling them in person, or contact our office at 301-698-2449 to purchase your copies.
